QLD School Holidays Terms

This is the page of the QLD school holidays for 2021. QLD term breaks are 15-16 days in the autumn through spring, with around a 1 & a half month break in summer.

QLD School Holidays 2021 Term 1 (Autumn)

The Term 1 break is between 15-16 days, from the beginning of April to the middle.

Unless Good Friday happens to fall in March, the break will almost always include Good Friday and Easter.

Queensland is a pretty large state, so the temperature can fluctuate depending on where in the state you are.

On average, the weather in the autumn stays between the mid to high 20’s, leaving great weather for swimming, hiking and other outdoor activities!

It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the break at one of Queensland’s many beautiful beaches!

QLD School Holidays 2021 Term 2 (Winter)

The Term 2 School holidays fall during QLD’s winter, though the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees.

However, this is when Queensland sees the most rain, so now is a great time to enjoy the state’s indoor activities.

From art galleries to museums to plays and concerts, to indoor sports, there’s so many different things to see!

QLD School Holidays 2021 Term 3 (Spring)

The Term 3 holiday usually lasts 15 days and typically contains the King’s Birthday public holiday.

Not only is this a good holiday opportunity during the break, but the warming weather in QLD is a great time to go out and enjoy nature!

The rainy season is ending and the weather has yet to reach its full summer peak, so now is a great time to explore some places around the state!

From the Gold Coast, to the Sunshine Coast, to Cairns in the very north, to the city of Brisbane itself, there’s so many interesting spots that even those born and raised in Queensland will find new and interesting!

QLD School Holidays 2021 Term 4 (Summer)

As this term holiday includes Christmas, New Year’s, and Australia Day, there’s so many good public holiday activities and great opportunities to enjoy them!

It’s also summer in QLD, which makes for some hot and sunny weather! Spend some time enjoying the sun-warmed ocean, with the proper sunscreen of course.

Or visit some of the beachfront shopping centers with an excellent view of the ocean and check out the stores!

The cities of QLD also have some great holiday celebrations and festivals, so make sure you save some time for those!
