TAS School Holidays Terms
This is the page of the TAS school holidays for 2021.
TAS term breaks are usually around 18 days in the autumn through spring, with around a 1 & a half month break in summer.
TAS School Holidays 2021 Term 1 (Autumn)
The Term 1 break is around 18 days, typically from the middle of April to the end.
Unless Good Friday happens to fall in March, the break will almost always include Good Friday, Easter and Anzac Day.
Since this is TAS’s autumn, it can get chilly. But the sunshine during the day provides a good opportunity to see Tasmania’s amazing natural beauty before the weather turns colder.
Plan a good midday hike or picnic and make the most of this beautiful season!

TAS School Holidays 2021 Term 2 (Winter)
The Term 2 School holidays fall during TAS’s winter, so the weather can get pretty cold and windy.
Snow mostly occurs in the mountains though, so despite the chilly weather, there’s still lots to do!
Tasmania has plenty of great museums, galleries and landmarks that will keep you plenty entertained during this break, which averages around 18 days.

TAS School Holidays 2021 Term 3 (Spring)
The Term 3 holiday usually lasts 15 days and typically contains the Burnie Show, the Royal Launceston Show and the Flinders Island Show public holidays.
Not only do these holidays give some good entertainment during the break, but the warming weather in TAS is a great time to go out and enjoy nature!

TAS School Holidays 2021 Term 4 (Summer)
As this term holiday includes Christmas, New Year’s, the Devonport Cup and Australia Day, there’s so many good public holiday activities and great opportunities to enjoy them!
It’s also summer in TAS, which makes for some more comfortable weather. Go for a bushwalk, spend time on the beach or just enjoy the many festive activities!
This break is around 1 and a half months long, extending from the latter half of December to the beginning of February, so there’s lots of time to enjoy this beautiful state!
